The Journal of Applied Science and Nanotechnology (JASN) adheres to a rigorous double-blind peer-review process to uphold the quality and integrity of the articles it publishes. The procedure consists of the following steps:

1. Preliminary Assessment

Once a manuscript is submitted, it undergoes a preliminary assessment by the editorial team to ensure that it aligns with the journal's focus and scope and meets the minimum quality standards and submission guidelines of JASN.

2. Assignment to Reviewers

If the manuscript passes the initial screening, it is assigned to at least two independent reviewers who are experts in the field related to the manuscript. In the double-blind review process, neither the authors nor the reviewers are aware of each other's identities, ensuring unbiased feedback.

3. Reviewer Evaluation

Reviewers evaluate the manuscript based on a variety of factors, including the validity of the research design, the significance of the research question, the appropriateness of the methods and analyses, the soundness of the conclusions, and the clarity of the presentation.

4. Review Reports

Each reviewer provides a detailed report with comments on the manuscript and a recommendation for one of the following actions: accept as is, minor revision, major revision, or reject.

5. Editor Decision

The editor-in-chief, considering the reviewers' recommendations and reports, makes a final decision to accept, reject, or request revisions for the manuscript. In some cases, if the reviewers' reports significantly differ, the editor may decide to send the manuscript to a third reviewer.

6. Revision and Re-review

If a revision is requested, the authors must address the reviewers' comments and re-submit the manuscript, which may then be returned to the original reviewers for re-review. The cycle of revision and review continues until the editor is satisfied with the manuscript or decides to reject it.

7. Acceptance and Publication

Upon acceptance, the manuscript undergoes a final check and proofreading before being published.

8. Post-Publication Review

Even after publication, articles remain open to post-publication comments from the scientific community. This serves as an additional check, ensuring the validity and integrity of the research published.

The entire process, from submission to final decision, is managed through our online submission system, allowing for a streamlined and efficient review process.
